The legendary Rat Lion is back! Long before the Lion of Flanders was created, this proud NYC icon was flown from the king of NYC's castle battlements in Central Park. Later Teddy Roosevelt chose to wear the Rat Lion during his stint as a Six-Day racer at Madison Square Garden - Look it up people! 

The jersey features highly breathable mesh sleeves and pockets, and a smooth fine Lycra on the back, front, and side panels. The fabrics are dyed black — not printed — so the result is a much blacker black that will not go purple or brown when washed. No colors can print over a black like this, so we went into our bag and got out our favorite toy - retroreflective appliqué heat transfers.

Retroreflective decals are like oil slicks on water: they catch the light and reflect it back, changing color based on the light and the angle.
